What You May Have After Getting Polycystic Kidney Disease
In the early stage of Polycystic Kidney Disease, the size of kidneys may be normal or slightly larger. As the patients grow older, their cysts increase and more and more cysts appear. For most of the cases, when cysts enlarge to considerable extend, a series of symptoms will appear.

As the occurance of renal infection, pyuria and hematuria aggravate, meanwhile lower back pain is accompanied by fever.
Ⅳ. High blood pressure is the common performance of Autosomal Dominantl Polycystic Kidney Disease. Before the increase of serum creatinine, about half of patients with Polycystic Kidney Disease have high blood pressure. The occurance of high blood pressure among patients with Chronic Kidney Disease affects the prognosis of Polycystic Kidney Disease directly, that means if patients with Polycystic Kidney Disease have high blood pressure, their cysts will grow fast and this has a bad influence on the prognosis of Polycystic Kidney Disease.
Ⅴ. Renal insufficiency is inevitable for patients with Polycystic Kidney Disease and it seldom appears before patients younger than forty. About half of the patients who are seventy years old have renal function. however, if high blood pressure appears in patients with Polycystic Kidney Disease, then the process developing to renal failure will be shortened.
Ⅵ. Polycystic liver. The incidence of Polycystic Liver among patients who have been found with Autosomal Dominantl Polycystic Kidney Disease in their middle age is fifty percent. The appearance of Polycystic Liver is usually ten years later than Polycystic Kidney Disease.
