What Is Left Renal Cortical Cyst

Renal cortical cysts are small sacs filled with fluid that form in the renal cortex, which is the outer portion of kidney, between renal capsule and renal medulla. They usually subside on their own and needs no treatment. If there is change in size or number, it may require treatment.
Renal cysts are quite common. They do not show up on standard x-rays such as the KUB. Such cysts are not dangerous, cause no problems and generally require no treatment. Your discomfort is probably from something else. Check with your physician.
